Home Care Tip

One of the biggest risks of non-medical home care is not having proper medical information. This sounds contradictory but the documentation of patient care needs are essential when providing non-medical services. This allows family members and caregivers to monitor the patients progress and is helpful to plan an overall care program. For example it is helpful to know the patients medication schedule and list, or for example if a patient has a condition called CHF or congestive heart failure it is important to weigh them daily and take note of sudden weight gain which could mean fluid build up and ultimately affect the patients well being.
